Holy shit @ this week’s Game of Thrones… O_O…

Major spoilerage may be incoming so you might want to avert your eyes…or on second thought maybe I’ll save all the spoilery reblogs for tomorrow night.

Early Thoughts: Dragon’s Dogma

  • That title music is so awfully amazing.
  • Combat’s hella fun, climbing on shit never gets old.
  • I could not be less interested in the story
  • Love wandering around
  • Accidentally gave my pawn the squeaky kids voice, made for an unexpected laugh.
  • Visually hit and miss.
  • Have this love hate relationship with my pawns. “Enchant Fire! Don’t heal! … k now Heal!! No not fire, I already got fire…”
  • A lot of systems at work here that are gonna take me a little while to wrap my head around.
  • Night time is freaking awesome.
  • All the little neat ideas help overcome a lot of minor frustrations.

Jon Favreau had planned to cast a newcomer in the role, but ultimately chose Robert Downey Jr. (a fan of the comic) because he felt the actor’s past made him an appropriate choice for the part. “The best and worst moments of Robert’s life have been in the public eye,” the director explained. “He had to find an inner balance to overcome obstacles that went far beyond his career. That’s Tony Stark. Robert brings a depth that goes beyond a comic book character who is having trouble in high school, or can’t get the girl.” Favreau also felt Downey could make Stark a “likable asshole”, but also depict an authentic emotional journey once he won over the audience.
